I am studying from Stephen J. Lee.
Also, I need to know what went wrong in your EU paper ?
Did you take help from some teacher ?
What must be a length or an answer ? Do we write headings ?
No, I studied Mahajan and Thomson.

Nothing went wrong with my E.H paper. I came to know about the unforgiving nature of its examiners and its pathetic scoring trend only after I had wasted my time on it, so I decided to go along with it.

I didn't take help from any teacher, just took some basic guidance from a senior.

The length should be ideally between 4-8 pages (depends on the question). If you can adequately sum up all the information the examiner demands into 4 pages, good for you; if you need 8 pages for it, write you must!

As for the bit regarding headings, the techniques of attempting a question are the same for all the subjects. Go through this thread to get your query answered:-

I have also opted it for CE 16 as it has been my major subject during masters studies as well as optional in my last attempt. However it is correct that to satisfy examiner in this subject is a hard but to crack.

I have opted EH with IR. I have been through crash course only for EH. will that be enough to cover it after the change of syllabus for CE-2016.

Hoping that it would not do as much damage to me as it did to some of my seniors who opted it. Personally, I opted it because I found it interesting. Later I came to know that its examiners can never be satisfied. People get average marks even with excellent preparation and brilliant performances in exam.

If you're still deciding to go for it, okay then. I can help regarding its preparation. I allocated maximum time to this subject during my preparation. I would be glad if I could be of any help.
I have covered EU History from French Revolution to WW1 but I don't know how to go further with it. I could not find books or relevant sources. Please help me.
PS This is my first ever comment in CSS Forum and I literally don't know how things work here.
Best
