Dear all users!!! I want notes of Mughul Era starting from 1526 to 1857 or till end of Aurangzaib's period. Anyone having them in bullet form or otherwise kindly inform me here please.

MUGHAL EMPIRE 1526-1857


BABUR
1526-1530
  1. Founder of Mughal Dynasty
  2. Born in Farghana Valley (Uzbekistan).
  3. Defeat Ibrahim Lodhi in Battle of 1st battle Pani Path

  5. Died in 1530
  6. Succeeded by his elder son Humayun

HUMAYUN
  1. 1530-1540
  2. The period from 1540-1555 is known as Sur Dynasty.
  3. 1555-1556
  4. Elder Son of Babur
  5. Had 4 brothers
  6. His life is often remembered as a tail of his failures
  7. 1540 he lost is empire to Sher Shah Suri
  8. Sheh Shah Suri rule India from 1540-1545 then his son Islam Shah followed
  9. Bahram Khan was his able Army commander who help him regain his throne from Sur's
  10. Lover of Books, had his own library in Palace
  11. Died due to the fall from stairs of his library

AKBAR THE GREAT
  1. 1556-1607
  2. Became king at the age of 13 years
  3. initially look after by Bahram Khan till the age of 21
  4. fought 2nd battleof Pani pat with Hemu
  5. Almost ruled entire India
  6. HAd 5000 wives As per his historian Abul Hazal (300+ wives and 4700 concubines)
  7. Introduced Din e Elahi in 1580's
  8. Had team of 9 important Ministers Known as Nauratna (means 9 Jems)
  9. His wife muslim name was Mehar uz Zamani (known as Jodha in movies)
  10. Had a son Shehzada Saleem (Jehangir)
  11. removed jizya from hindus
  12. 1st to bring hindus in his ministries
  13. burried in Skinderia/Sikanderabad.

JEHANGIR
  1. 1607-1627
  2. Also known as Shahzada Saleem
  3. Famous for his Bell of Justice
  4. and Love affair with Anarkali
  5. got married to Nur Jehan later (A widow of SHer Afghan Khan)
  6. 1st to permit British East India Company to trade with India
  7. Close friend of James Todd Who asked for BEIC permission to work in India
  8. died in Kashmir due to excessive alcoholism

SHAH JEHAN
  1. 1627-1658
  2. His period is known as golden period of Mughal Empire
  3. Built Taj Mahal for his wife
  4. his wife name was Mumtaz Mahal (Arjumand Banu Begam)
  5. had 14 children
  6. He wanted his son Dara Sikoh to be the next king of India
  7. was captured by his son Aurangzeb and kept house arrested for last 8 years of his life in Taj Mahal
  8. Died in 1660's

AURANGZAIB ALAMGIR
  1. 1658-1707
  2. Known as Alagmir (One who conquers the world)
  3. Also known as Idol Breaker
  4. Staunch Practicing Muslim
  5. Imposed many embargoes on Hindus
  6. Ruled India for Almost 50 years
  7. use to sell caps/hat made by himself to afford his own expenditure
  8. his total saving of life at the time of his death was 2 rupees and a few paisa.... I guess
  9. died in 1707


BAHADUR SHAH ZAFAR
  1. 1837-1857
  2. last Mughal ruler of India
  3. His rule was limited to Delhi only
  4. A poet
  5. Student of Mirza Ghalib in poetry
  6. captured by BIEC in 1857 revolt
  7. exiled to Rangoon, Burma
  8. Spend his remaining life in exile.

Sir can you please guide me what should be there in answer if asked about any Mughul Ruler. I mean which areas should be focused. And sir if you have simple notes covering just bullets so kindly send me. I have read K. Ali's book thoroughly.

I am.opting indian history 2 (1526 to 1857) in balochistan public service commission examination, can you suggest me couple of good books which I should start studying, books should be thorough as many cqs and short questions also come regarding journals/book written by? Or any good book for mcqs too if you suggest, I will be thankfull two books I have heard but havn'tvstill bought are
