dear sis.. i have also decided to opt this subject and somewhat prepared as well. but plenty of people say that one should not opt it.. its a good subject but scoring trends have been falling in previous exams. perhaps its due to cramming ore rote system. any way its a good subject as per my thinking and if u really want to opt it i would suggest the book of "ishwari parsad" and for simplicity indo pak history by K.Ali, but don't rely on books only, try to make your own notes using books and surfing internet, there is a very useful site in this connection which is The Most Comprehensive Reference on the Political History of Pakistan..... try to be analytical.. and consider the suggestions of other members as well. as sometimes, its the selection of subjects that determines your success.
good luck
stay blessed

even i don't have any background in these subjects. don't be confused. see the books of US history as well.. i was recommended by some seniors to go for it,its not lengthy as indo pak or islamic history and scoring as well. i like to follow my own choice and i feel that if u work hard tou u can do anything. many people have grabbed v good scores in this subject, so why can't we? don't get confused. think think and think before making a decision and when u decide something just stick to it....
good luck

Indo-Pak is a low scoring subject with lengthy syllabus.
Psychology is a good option among these, it is easy and scoring. Really no background of Psychology is required to opt it. I also did not have background for it but i opted it and found it very easy. Psychology-1 also have same topics as of EDS like Brain, Eye etc and some general and interesting topics like perception, personality, etc. And few topics of Paper-2 is same as of Sociology. Overall, a very easy subject, see past papers and syllabus. Hopefully you will find it easy and interesting.

Thumbs up

No doubt psychology is high scoring subject
but score depends upon the dedication n effort of the aspirant

So opt a subject in which you are more intrested
you can see people scoring 150+ in Indo pak as well and less then 100 in psychology so just go for the one in which you are more intrested

mine was indo pak n Alhamdolilah scored

Paper 1
Indo Pak by K.Ali

and then
Comprehansive notes of Indo Pak by RAZA ULLAH KHAN

Papaer 2:
Same book you are following for Pak Affairs.
