Assalam-o-Alaikum to all of my seniors,,,,
Dear frendz i have decided to choose indo-pak history as one of
my optional sujects so i want know abt the book which almost
covers whole of the syllabus of this subject and will be enough to
solve the subjective and objective portions of this subject...
somebody has suggested me the book of K.Ali.
wat is ur opinion abt this book?
will this be sufficient to solve the questions of this subject..
thanks in advance..

AoA,

The two books by K.Ali are very good and you should definitely buy
those books as they cover all the syllabus.
Beside this you shoud get these books,

1. Muslim Rule in India and Pakistan by Sohail Bhatti.
2. British Raj in India by S.M.Burke.
3.Struggle for Pakistan by I.H.Qureshi.

And check out the sticky thread by Last Island, there you will
find recommended books by CSP officers.
Good luck.

don't go for the two books of K.Ali (I haven't gone through the complete book though)....Indo Pak is changing...it aint a ratta demanding subject any more...:nono

i would suggest the following:

1- V.D Mahajan "The Sultanate of Delhi"
2- "The Mughal Throne" by "Abraham Eraly

The post-British Period can be covered by many books and current affairs topics...

Aslaam o Alaikum

yes trend is changing. but its for all papers
K.Ali books are good
but one should increase his study so do read other books
remember in current trend a good grip at subject is important and this can only be achieved by extensive study
the way questions are asked, is discouraging cramming and encouraging your views, your analysis.
paper 1 books by K.ali, sohail bhatti are good
books by Khalid bin syed,i.h.qureshi,ikram rabbani are good for paper 2
one more thing to add indo-pak also helps you prepare pak.affairs.
if you are opting it do prepare it well.check the books mentioned in its syllabus
the following link tells you about csp suggested books,

best of luck

it means
for paper-1 K.ALI
nd for Paper-2 I.H.Qureshi..
should i lock these options?
Howz that Seniors????:?

DEADLYDOCTOR Wednesday, March 31, 2010 10:15 AM

just satisfactory option which is not good in css
you need to read more. check past papers ,syllabus and books
then analyse which is best
you have to study more books
don't lock it as final option

to sum it up in one line..." Don't rely on one book...go through as many as possible....they would be beneficial..."
