Default how to deal with this subject!!confused

I am really confused b/c am unable to understand that how to deal with this subject. The biggest hurdle in my way is that my cramming is so weak. In my whole career i never did this practice i just read the topic 2,3 which develops a concept and on the day of paper i jot it down whatever i have in my mind but this formula is not working here even though i read a topic multiple time but at the end of the day when i try to recall things i find my self blank. what to do.

May be you don`t have interest in history. I have much interest in history. As far as dates and names are concerned, they have to be crammed. Rest of the thing is just like a story. What you read, just write at the end of the day. By this strategy, cramming will turn to living memory.

no i love reading history but i have realized that reading for the sake of passing css, is really not a piece of cake. My strategy was to give 2,3 readings to each topic but in this way i failed to remember series of events, dates names etc, that's why i was wondering to know senior's way of learning, whether its same as mine ,cramming or making notes and if making notes is the only way so whats the right way of making notes for this subject like bullet, detailed etc

No need to make detailed notes. Just read a topic, underline important lines. When preparing notes, just write these important lines in short form.
