They are Hindus, they must be having proclivities to study those dynasties and being proud of it too, and they do study the Murias and Guptas etc.....

If you really want to feel proud of YOUR avhievements, then i can suggest you some books...A Short History of Saracens by syed Ameer Ali is a good book and so is History of Arabs by P.K Hitti.....

Brother if you still feel that you need to be proud of Hindus and their history then do study them but making it the part of the syllabus for Indo Pak History subject in CSS is not logical.....only the Title of that subject is not sound, as i have been saying that it must be "History of Islam in India/Indo-Pak" not History of India and Pakistan, then there is no room for Guptas etc because Islam starts from Arab Invasion....Hope you got my point now!

Stay Blessed.
Dear Sir,

Thanks for replying and mentioning the books.Books you have mentioned are indeed remarkable and I have the honour of having read them both.
It is indeed agonising to see that a student of history,as you claim yourself to be,clutched in the crude prejudices of race and religion.A student of history must keep himself aloof from such aforementioned alignments.A student of history and a historian can't afford to become bias in favour or against a certain party as it obscures the fact from their eyes;they are strayed from the right path;and eventually historical facts are distorted and national identity is lost. This is why they say that history should be written by philosophers and philosophy by historians;a history written by politicians and clergymen is nothing but hypocrisy without limitation,a remorseless and criminal act to fabricate the truth instead of presenting it honestly and fairly.

Dear Friend,

Embracing a particular faith does not sever the inextricable bond of faithful with his soil and his native culture. This is the beauty of faith that people have retained their national identity over centuries yet they have changed their faiths so many times.Embracing of Islam, our great religion, does not in anyway place an impediment in our path to retain our contact with our great pre-Islamic and pre-historic path.Egyptians feel pride in pyramids and Nile valley civilisation;Iraqis in the ancient Assyrian and Summerian civilisation of Euphrates and Tigris;Persians in political, economic and cultural development of
Acahemenid Dynasty.I ask what threat does this pride in their past present to their faiths ? They are still better muslims than us.They teach their children what remarkable legacy their forefathers have bequeathed for posterity and it does not imperil their faith.
What grotesque deformity of mind can then impel us to disown and discredit the remarkable and epoch making achievements of our very own people who rose from this soil, fought bravely for their motherland and left for us the glittering reminders of their greatness in the form of Gandhara Art,Indus Valley Civilisation,Mehrgarh,Harrapa to name just a few ?
What heavens shall fall if I say few words in the praise of my coutntrymen, the valiant warriors like Chandragupta Morya,Kushan,Ashoka,Porus,Rani of Jhansi and Bhagat Singh for their unconquerable spirit of freedom ?

Dear,

Should I begin to disown these people for the very reason that they do not share my faith ? No sir,my faith forbids me from such narrow mindedness. It has rather taught me that the worth of man is judged by his character not by the colour of his skin or the faith he professes.

And perhaps for your utter dismay, historians like Aitazaz Ahsan,Ahmed Hasan Dani,Mubarik Ali and Ayesha Jalal also hold the same ideas. It is better to spare some time to study the works of these writers instead of listening to the jingoistic jargon of self-imposed and self-appointed guadians of faith and our country whose tongues are spitting fire of hatred.
I maintain that CSS syllabus of Indo-Pak history must contain pre-Islamic era to have a better understanding of our soil, from which,we have been raised by Creator and of which we are destined to become an indistinguishable component at the end of our mundane life.

No Offence Intended

Compliments accepted, Thanks for them.
Apologies accepted too. Its alright.
It doesn't matter if the offence is intended even.
In my humble opinion, the point was clear in my posts, however you can pull the spring as far as you want to, so there is no benefit in harping on the same string.
An advice: Make your point as much succinct so that it remains a point, if you stretch it unnecessarily, the essence is lost.

Stay blessed....You are my brother, yar definitely no offence meant.
