hello everyone!
discuss the main characteristics of mughal architecture? CE-2004

my querry is how should one solve this question?

should one write about its features i.e. use of gardens, white marble and stone work etc or write about buildings of mughals under the name of the emperor?

I think we have to write both. While describing buildings, garden, tombs etc. we have to discuss the material used for its construction .

We shall be expected to write on both e.g;
Difference between Pre Mughal and Mughal Architecture,Mughals made an extensive use of Pietra dura.Minarets were not common in architecture of Akbar but later they were erected.Akbar made use of red marble and Shahjehan turned towards red.It shall be better if cost of building be given as well,for instance Naulakha cost Shahjehan 9 lakhs whereas Taj cost him 3 crores.
Besides,it shall be fruitful to state the purpose of buildings.Jharoka Darshan,Dewan e Aam,Dewan e Khas,Sleeping Chambers all had different uses.Gardens were erected with water streams and fountains to give a chilling and cool atmosphere etc etc.

we have to discuss in detail all about mughal architectural system. how they built their ports,buildings,houses,religious places, educational institutions, houses, offices,roads and drainage system etc . we have to give reasons and advantages of each to create more interest in the question.also mentioning the names of few notable places
