But haven't started preparing it yet .. Just know that Majumdar Srinivastav book is good for the historical part . For the latest era , internet and current affairs prep will suffice ..

@exclusively
Kindly tell what should be the strategy for History of USA preparation esp. for the ones like me who are going to start this paper form the beginning? Your kind elaboration and strategy for this is needed.

As you are a beginner, so first you need to read outline of US History (a book) that is available on net. Then, read Majumdars' books but selectively. After done it, read NOA's notes. In last, you have to make your own short notes and outlines for revisions. For current oriented topics, just read new york times and dawn. Besides, sir ghafar's notes are good. As you are a beginner, US History will tease you and will suck your blood while reading, but after all done it what I said, you will enjoy it.

Thanks for kind consideration! I wanna ask another thing: I'm continuously fluctuating between Gender Studies and Journalism. My friend suggested me to have a look at USA History. I checked and found easy and comfortable to me. Now I'm unable to decide among USA History, Journalism and Gender Studies. I've to opt two of them. I personally feel easy and comfortable while handling Journalism. And, Gender Studies and USA History are new to me.
Other subjects are I.R, Intl Law, Public Ad.
So, in all this scenario, what would be your opinion to solve the mystery?

Dear Hafiz, I had journalism in my first attempt, despite of attempting up to the mark I could not attain good score on account of so-called scoring trend in CSS exam. However, recently I qualified PCS exam's screening and took its written exam, I opted journalism as one of my optional subjects and I did it to the level of perfection I know I would score well in it but I am likely sure that I can never get good score in CSS~Journalism as my part. Because, it is all about scoring trend, nature of subject and scoring game. Hence, in my opinion and experience, I won't recommend you journalism. The rest, US History and gender studies both are good and one can easily get good score. US History has always been scoring subject but don't know exactly about the gender studies. I think it is like a sociology, It would be an average scoring subject unlike Town Planning and Urban Management because the nature of town planning is very short, easy and doable like Human & Economic Geography.
