when Columbus invented america ,what was the religion of locals there?

columbus reached at Cuba in Oct 1492, i think people had no religion.

i would like to add he " discovered" America not " invented" and they have no religion. Some people stated that he conquered America not discovered.

but some say that their religion was islam,others say they were christian

Their (Native Americans') religion was a local version of paganism. Paganism has many variations depending upon the region and its geography. They worshiped spirits of elders, deities based on natural phenomena (forest, thunder etc), and anything they felt attracted to spiritually.
