Majumdar or JWT? Which one is better?

I bought both the books for History of USA. Majumdar seems to be a bit lengthy with about 600 pages (that too with certain topics not included) compared to JWT (340 pages and to the point). I do not have time to go through both the books so which is the ONE book I should study for a good understanding and a decent score?


Also, any tips to make the subject easier and understanding would be appreciated. Those who studied notes of Sir Naveed Bhutto please share your experience too. Should they be enough only?

I also see some people recommending certain movies and Youtube lectures for better understanding of the course. Anyone with information on that, please guide as well.

Again, I would recommend Majumdar and youtube videos (I am comfortable with videos not necessary others too enjoy it ) and sir naveed bhutto notes is best if one want to get a summary of the events

Majumdar's book on US History is far better than that of JWT. Majumdar's books seems lengthy, however, it is not that scary. You will easily comprehend all the concepts once you go through it. Moreover, if you need more concise and brief notes then you should consult Naveed bhutto's notes.

JWT book is useless as are all other JWT books. Sir Naveed notes are good but are mostly in summary form and do not provide the complete picture for all events. If you have time then Majumdar is the best option. However, Majumdar only covers till Nixon presidency. For content after that you can consult Outline of US History which is available on Internet in PDF or you can consult Wikipedia and Crash Course videos on Youtube.

you can find soft copy of the notes in this forum, in the History of USA forum, there's a top thread named complete notes:history of usa, check that.
