Question USA History Trend?

History of USA was slaughtered in 2018, but its scores in 16,17 and 19 were good. Should one opt USA history in 2020? or go for some other subject?

Don't waste time worrying about trend. Go with your interest and background knowledge of the subject and have a look at syllabus plus past papers, it will help you decide whether you can handle it or not.
If US History doesn't get slaughtered some other subject will, how are you going to make sure none of your subject gets on slaughtering list. It is just a waste of time and can affect your judgement in a bad way.

It is just my opinion.

You can disagree. Besides everyone knows best about himself, some people can cover any kind of subject, interest doesn't matter for them. So you should decide accordingly.

Thank you for your response.

I have to choose between Gender Studies and US History strictly on the basis of scoring. I have attempted both papers in 2018, didn't do so well in either. Besides the fact many of us work hard on our subjects, there seems to be a trend that I don't understand. How does it work?

I have seen a few DMCs and this is what I figured:

Gender Studies scoring potential was low in 2018-19.

US History was slaughtered in 2018 but yielded good scores (60+) in 2016,2019. Average in 2017.

So what's the trend? What do I do? Which one do I opt? I have 10 days to cover either subject, I found gender studies easier to cover than US history.
