History of USA- CSS 2022

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone has an idea regarding US history being a good choice for the 2022 exam. I was hoping to select it for 2022 but I heard a CSP on youtube who said it's best to avoid this subject. Is there any reason why?

Thanks in advance.

US history has been the most hit subject since 2018.

Agreed, but FPSC usually targets one or two subjects each year. Thanks

I don't really know about being 'hit' or 'targeted' but in CSS 2020 the US History paper was really tough. It was almost entirely opinion based. However, I think that over time many other subjects are becoming more opinion based with questions requiring critical thinking. If you are confident in your ability to prepare for the subject, go ahead and pick it. You will pass any subject InshaAllah in which you have given your best.

Agreed, the idea that a subject is targeted or hit arises when the other optionals in the same group have a relatively easier paper and yield better scores.

Thank you for the response. If it is between Islamic history and US history, do you guys have any suggestions?

Thank you
