Thanks a lot sir. I have got notes, these notes are designed to complete US History in 5 days. It really competes our total course except current question in 5 days. I have studied Majumdar but it irritates me. As far as notes are concerned, these are really nice. These notes are written by an aspirant I got them one of my friends from lahore. Should I depend only on these notes or on majumdar is good? But 5 days of these notes cover each and every thing which have been coming in our exam?

Plz could I have ur suggestions....

Thanks.....

Well the notes r very gud, but it depends as if how complete they are. you can do one thing, finsih ur notes and go back to the past papers. if u can solve 80% ov de last ten years paper, tht means that de notes r doin a gud job nd if not, thn jst polish ur subject by goin through some other books or sum other notes....

Yes I have seen the topics nearly 70% course is covered from notes. But one thing let me know, there are many presidents, which should be studied in order to tackle our paper. Beside this, colonies are an other problems. How to read them, means I can't cram these presidents. I have done just general studies. Will it be enough to attempt our paper like pakk affairs. Without much factes and figure. Because in it facts and figures are too much difficult to learn by heart. What is your way. I need just a hint.

I am highly thankful to your such a nice reply.

@ssara
though my us history paper didnt go well but still i wld share my analysis.sir naveed had already elaborated it very nicely ....regarding the presidents, as far as my analysis is concerned,u should only do the main presidents and their policies or approach towards democracy or the main events that took place during their presidency.repeated questions thread can give u a very clear idea....main presidents are thomas jefferson, andrew jackson,,Abraham Lincoln, wilson,FDR,henry truman,.j.f.kennedy...u can chk the angle of questions from repeated questions....however, the trend has changed since 2011..now they are focussing more on post world war 2 era i.e. after 1945.....chk ushistory.org for this area...n learn topics like mccarthysim.modern feminism n terms similar to it from that website.....hope it wld help us all.......again i would say that this is my analysis...could be wrong aswell....nyways BEST OF LUCK!!!
Yes I have seen the topics nearly 70% course is covered from notes.
Well, if ur notes are covering 70% of the topics that means k they r fine nd doin a gud job for U.
But one thing let me know, there are many presidents, which should be studied in order to tackle our paper.
Regarding the President's there are only 8 to 10 presidents out of 44 American presidents which r repeatdly asked in CSS exams. nd as far as i think wilson and nixon are two very importnt presidents which had been asked this year so in 2013 there r vry few chances that dere wud be any question on the two

The most Imp. President according to me for 2013 are

George Washington,
Thomas Jefferson,
Andrew Jackson
and FDR.........

There surely will be a question on any ov above president....
Beside this, colonies are an other problems. How to read them, means I can't cram these presidents. I have done just general studies.
nd regarding colonization, there is nathin to cram, u shud jst be clear abt de 13 colonies and their location.... divide them in upper, middle and lower colonies for ur convenience and the causes of colonization. bcuz this is de question normally either be in direct or indirect way. The examiner always ask de exploration and de causes of colonization rather thn de colonies it self.
Will it be enough to attempt our paper like pakk affairs. Without much factes and figure. Because in it facts and figures are too much difficult to learn by heart. What is your way. I need just a hint.
Normally pplz dont score in Pak Affairz is bcuz they are way too far away from the realities of the subject and tries to cram de events instead ov understanding their importance.

My advise is not to take any ov the subject as a burden,,, YES the quotations, Maps, authentic fact nd figures can grab u good marks but they r only important nd benefical if u re gud at the basic understanding ov the subject, otherwise they wud be ov no Use.
I am highly thankful to your such a nice reply.

Hope I have made my self clear, nd if u further have ny questions. U pplz are always welcome.

This is just a try from my side to gv u de better understnding ov the subject.

Fact. as the two presidents asked this time were wilson from WWI and Nixon after WWII respectively.
and
Ushistory.org is a fantastic website

McCarthyism is jst a short note on US Senator which is only askd once in de past 10yrs. Regarding feminism, although it is very important, but there wont be a direct question and they would rather ask women suffrage, which is their fav question, and would want the candidate to include feminism in the answer to the women suffrage in American Society.

Us Foriegn Policy again can be prepared from John J, Newman Book "Brief history of USA"

American Foreign policy is a huge topic which can further be divided into following

Background of Foreign Policy
Making US Foreign Policy
Institutions of Foreign Policy
Issues of Foreign Policy

I dont think that dere wud be any direct question on American Foreign Policy. bcuz its a vast topic including the cold war era wd russia, Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq and Afghan War after 9/11. they would either relate it wd Exit Afghan Strategy or the US FP toward South Asia can be the expectd questios.

Thanks for the website of it.
Bhai, there are rumors in air that from now onward, UsHistory paper will be more like a IR or Current AFFAIR paper. Thus, no need to cram the details of all era back to 18th century.
So please elaborate what should be the preparation strategy in this viewpoint...?

Well brother, 1st of all cramming always hurts so there is no need to cram either be it US History or any other subject. but still you have to be very good at the subject and history of USA to score good marks.

Now coming on to the point that it would be paper take would relate to IR or current affairs. YES, but still this is good for the student as our epicenter of studies in CA revolves around USA. so if there is a question or two on the current or future policies of America that will just release your burden to opt all four questions from the history.
