is it scoring and ez? lengthy ?

yes its lenghty,but the trend has changed my friend in ce2010 it was badly hit by fpsc. but dont worry trend changed may be it will be high scoring in 2012.

but believe you me its very interesting subject.you just need to remember the dates,references, caliph names and major incidents.

very very lengthy dear but if you prepare this it will help you in islamic study compulsory:)

sabahat : suggest a complete book for islamic history .....
.... K ALI's book has been suggested ..... is it enough to cover dis subject .... ???

well nationservent its really hard to tell a single book for this lengthy subject.any thing can come from any where histroy subjects are always unexpected, i consulted sohail bahtti`s book of islamic histroy, mazhar-ul-haq book

and islamic histroy encyclopedia that is availabe online.

i also consulted an urdu book of islamic histroy of graduation level.

that`s all i can tell you. i hope you get my point.

sabahat : em obliged for ur cooperation ..... yaar to be vry frank , i hv these books bt a main part of request was how to cover dis subject in less time as i hv left with now .... mazhar ul haq book contains very minor concerns abt history , which is very hard to remember all of dem , infact it will need 3 to 4 revision stages .... do u think if we can apply any smart strategy to cover it ... like the major topics or the most repetitive topics should be coverd from mazhar ul haq and the rest from any general written book like K ali .....

NationServant, I had taken Islamic History for CSS 2011. I just studies from Ameer Ali's History of Saracens. N beleive you me keh is men se he lines utha k objectives bnaye huaye hotay hen. If you are at Lahore, I can help you out in this subject very well. I gave it 15 days only and it was such an interesting subjects keh jub tak complete nahin ho gya dil nahin kiya kuch aur krnay ka. I can also refer you to a person here who can teach you this subject in two week time.
