I have prepared Islamic History part II comprising of following topics;
Muslims in Spain
Scientific,literary and cultural development during Muslim rule in Spain
Scientific development during Abbassids of Damascus
European Renaissance and contribution of Islamic civilization to it.
Muslims in North Africa
Present day muslims and their conditions
Anyone who wishes to do selective but safer study, must do these topics. Muslims in Spain alone would help you solve at least two questions.
(its an imp post i guess for you)sis if u r confused for syllabus then look for past papers and prepare accordingly..

Spain was conquered by the Umayyads under Caliph Walid in 711 and as Spain is included in the syllabus of paper II so no surprises there.

Cordova under Umayyads again is a part of the Muslims in Spain section

"historical significance of Samara as Abassids capital"
Paper II syllabus includes "Muslims' contribution in architecture"
Architecture includes all the cities built/developed by the Muslims that is:
Baghdad and Samarra under the Abassids,
Damascus, Cordova, Seville and Granada under the Umayyads,
Cairo under the Fatimids.
