first of all, go through the past papers to see the paper trend and questions, then you will get the idea that which topics are more important from examination point of view, focus on those questions primarily,,,,,,,secondly as per my experience, paper 1 is quite easy and general as compared to paper 2, so manage your time in such a way that you could give maximum time to paper 2.make your study plan keeping in view the syllabus.

history particularly Islamic history can be best prepared if you will study it with keen interest, for ce 2013 attempt, you have a plenty of time so you can well prepared it. best of luck!

P.S:This thread will help you for sure.

The topics mentioned by wali ahad are good enough, ottoman empire is the topic which can be covered/asked in paper 1, as well as paper 2..........again i would like to suggest to go through past papers, most of the questions repeat, but another trend in the recent years is that, some general topics are also included in the paper, for example this time, origin and characteristics of Islamic civilization was asked, it might not be there in Islamic history course books, but they expect the answer of such questions from Islamic history students, Islamic Fiqhas, Islamic systems, e.g, political, economic, moral etc are also needed to be study.best of luck!

Well, you have given answer to you question yourself, if you have gone through indo pak history, and you find it easy for you, then go for it, but keeping in view ce 2011 scoring trend, islamic history is better, you have plenty of time for ce 2013, so take the decision keeping in view all these factors, islamic history is lengthy but not very difficult if one has some background knowledge.
