When Spain got out of the hands of Muslims and the last Muslim King was preparing to leave the land with tears in his eyes, his mother said to him:

Weep not like a woman, for that which you cannot defend like a man ..
other empires?
I mean the situation of Arabian Peninsula and around at that time .. Make bullet points of all these and study their Social, Political, Economic and Religious aspects .. I skipped the topic for my preparation but it is important as one would need to reflect from its knowledge in questions like 'Social-Political revolution brought by Islam', etc .. In this case you can compare and contrast the pre-Islamic conditions studied in this topic, with the changes that Islam brought which you'll study in later topics ..

It's not compulsory that you should prepare your own notes of any subject but the main point is that material should be satisfactory whether that it'z from academy notes or your own hand made !!!

I would always advise to make your own notes .. Academy notes are for all and cannot take you to the level of understanding where reading of original texts will take you to .. CSS is a competition and you must stand out .. The most effective way of doing so is the in-depth study .. However, you can always take the aid of notes along with study of books to make your own notes ..
