In both the attempts I have not obtained good marks in Islamic History. This time I want to attempt it with some new technique. Though I have some of those in mind yet suggestions are more than welcome. In other way, everybody will see new strategies or ways to attempt this paper, that one may not know. So, please share your ideas...

Irfan share your previous attempts marks of Islamic history and which type of questions you mostly pick and your paper attempting method in detail than seniors guide you.You take two attempts at least and seems confuse in history.

In 2012 i got 92 marks and this time 102.. Yar i dont know but i guess i pick those questions that are of general nature.

Ce-2014 is my first attempt,i am not better to guide you because you are my senior.But give you a advice general questions in every paper just like as a current affair papers because in which candidates give his own ideas;if you fail to present them full than definately you lose marks because general question required facts and some quotations.
For example muslim ummah problem in which define some common problem of muslim country but you fact also and some ulema statements and add some related Hadits also.And Nowdays muslim disunity,illitracy rate,overpopulation, sectaranism/extremism in muslim countries etc.At least you must attempt 3 course related question.

That is in fact the most interesting area in whole Islamic History syllabus .. Nothing to worry about it, just cover Muslim works in medicine, chemistry, physics (Astronomy and sea-navigation), architecture and institutions of the Abbassids .. In addition cover works of scientists and a couple of historians .. If you are having trouble in doing it on the whole, you can complete it topic by topic .. For example first study Muslim advancement in science in Spain then do the Abbassid institutions and then cover the scientists or history part .. Then in exam you can answer relevantly by recalling the individual topics ..

If you cover these topics properly, the knowledge gained can be used in answering a number of questions .. Especially in Renaissance and other questions highlighting Muslim glory days ..
