You can attempt the paper in either of the medium , keeping in view your ease and convenience. If you can present your thoughts in Urdu in more appropriate and convincing way , attempt in urdu. And if the case is otherwise , then attempt in English. I personally attempted the paper in English in my previous attempt. The reason behind attempting the paper in English were.
My Urdu handwriting isn't good.
My Urdu handwriting is very slow and I often remain unable to complete 5 questions in the allotted three hours.
And thirdly , there has was lack of writing practice in Urdu , and I was not in a position to present my ideas in proper way.
Therefore , I attempted the paper in English.
However , there are most of the aspirants who attempt the paper of Islamiat in Urdu. They do not have the problems which I mentioned above. Moreover, while attempting in Urdu one can make use of urdu poetry of Iqbal , Hali and other poets to make the answers more impressive .
In short , the medium does not matter. It is your presentation which brings you marks. Therefore , one should attempt the paper in medium of one's personal convenience.
