A query

AOA...

I have done BBA Hons. Now I want to opt forestry as an optional.. Please guide me whether I would be able to prepare it well or not? Should I go ahead?

Bilal Hassan Monday, June 11, 2012 07:02 PM

Dear if you have done BBA then you must go for Business ad as you won't take a lot of time to prepare that subject and you have some solid background as well...

well it happens in CSS that people with higher education in a particular subject fall apart in this exam but i suggest you to identify what went wrong there, i myself have done MBA in Marketing, i don't know the institute you have done your BBA from but let me tell one thing that our GPA does not matter as the evaluation is not strict in our institutions and papers are also very easy but CSS is a competitive exam where you cannot expect such lenient marking as you enjoy back in your university...so identify the mistakes and come up with solid knowledge of the subject...

No offense but I beg to differ with you bruv...
I also did BBA Hons in marketing from NUML, Islamabad and not from alkhair, or hamdard :P... And as far as i know, NUML was very strict in awarding marks to students in the biz field....
So yeah i agree with you that our gpa has nothing to do with our marks in css but to SOME extent, it does matter... because it shows that at least you have the skills to perform BETTER in this subject... and "33" ??? R u kidding me??? :(

I wanted to leave it anyways coz of the finance portion,,,i have been very much weak in finance and i dont want to risk my 3rd attempt... thts y thinking of opting forestry :)

yes you can and must go for forestry if you think that your home subject is not paying you the regard as you expect from it...iv'e done MBA from IBA, i hope you understand the evaluation standard of IBA and the kudos associated with that institute, i am also leaving Business add for my next attempt in 2013 but not because it is not paying me as i am yet to have the results as i appeared in 2012 but because i want to opt Economics instead and you know i can't take it with Business add....anyway best of luck for your endeavours, Forestry is a scoring subject, iv'e listen that though...

Yep i very much understand the evaluation standards of IBA, a very prestigious institute of business studies.
I am only leaving business administration because it has not proved to be a scoring subject for me till now.
Similarly, going for forestry because i heard that it is a scoring subjects and a management degree in general.
Anyways, thanks for guiding me brother. :)

forestry is a good subject in css as its course is brief and average score is 70-75. it has no technicalities and is easy to understand even for those who have never studied it before.go ahead with it. BEST OF LUCK

Basics of Forestry by Masood A.A. Qureshi(vol 1&2). this is the only book that all teachers and seniors suggest.
best of luck, i know you will enjoy the subject.

One thing I wanted to ask was whether the terminology of this subject is difficult to cram like biology or botany?
