Default Opting Forestry wolud be a wise decision?
Dear members
I dont have any background of forestry, agriculture or botany, nor have i studeis science at any level rather am an Art student through out, inspite of all aboveforestry seems to be easy to me.....suggest should i opt it or not?

yeah , it is a good selection in a sense that it gives you good marks . And if you have got an aptitiude then select it and start preparing for it without wasting any time. Best of luck .

If you have not studied science at any level I will not suggest you to opt forestry as it is a scientific subject involving sientific methods and scientific nomenclature. But if you think you can do it I will not discourage you but will advise you to go through all the syllabus first if you developed the concepts well opt it otherwise go for some other optional subject.

I have background of botany..I need guidance regarding the selection of two subjects. which two of these three should I opt
1. forestry
2. agriculture
3.sociology

Forestry is a combination of botany, mathematics and social sciences. even an arts student can perform well if prepared with a focused study .
but since it is multi dimensional, it requires slightly more time than other subjects. and aptitude, as syeda bukhari suggested , is also a necessary part.

Why only these three optional subjects? You have much choice. But if you have no other option than selecting among these, then go for:
1. Forestry
2. Sociology
I will not suggest you to opt agriculture as it is a vast subject it is suitable for agriculture graduates.

Out of these, I would suggest to drop Sociology as it would be opted by many. Moreover, it seems to be in hot waters in times to come.

Agriculture appears to me as a technical subject but can fetch you good marks.

However, if I were you, as I did, I would have gone for Forestry and Journalism.

@ sadia i would suggest you to opt Sociology instead of Forestry..

What about a student from Engineering background?
Do i have equal dimensions of Performance in this subject respected to Arts n Biological sciences students? erstwhile i have bit insights of Geography, Geology and Environmental Engineering.

i want to opt forestry . i had zoology in my last attempt now i want to replace it . i have background of natural sciences. would it be my right choice?
