Yes you can prepare it at home, Little bit biological background will obviously help you. Recommended books are "Basics of Forestry and allied sciences" by Masood A.A Quraishi, Also take a look at "comprehensive forestry" by Syed Baqir Ali Shah....

Forestry can be covered by you, go through the contents and try to study the subject in a broader perspective without going into minute details. Consult technical terms where required.

I have no background of Forestry, all I know abt plants is what I studied back in high school. Then I switched to medicine. Is it wise for me to take forestry?

I went through forestry's syllabus and I thought it was pretty reasonable. But when I went through its pastpapers, I felt I was going to have a heart attack :p. They were quite scary. So I want to ask:
1.A person who doesn't have much knowledge about Pakistan's forests or forestry in that matter, will be able to cope with this subject? If yes, then can you suggest some of the best books, please? 2. What are the maximum marks that one can get in this subject? What has been the past trend? |
