Opting Eng.lit
 

I am doing Mphil in English literature and wish to opt eng.lit as an optional subject in my next css attempt but there is a general perception that it is not a marks scoring subject and has a very lengthy syllabus. I request you all to please share your views and marks in this subject. Thanks.

I am doing it from University of Lahore. The admissions would start in the end of august and you can apply online as well. They would wither take a written test or interview or both.

syllabus is lenthy otherwise it is interesting

Opt. English Literature
 

Literature in itself is not difficult rather soul-satisfying. It is a constant source of happiness and courage and serves when science fails to support us.

Medicines fail to produce necessary enzymes for life and our courage derived from our study of or experience with literature works. Literature is all around us.

Literature is the expression of our feelings: happy or sad whatever. Precisely it is defined as 'expression of one's own or others feelings in words is called literature'.

Sure enough that literature is a poor scoring subject but that is not our fault it is with the examiners who are awarded for their skill of making simple things complicated impressively.

To gain the goal you should perhaps have some political approach as well. Mere exams or degrees don't mean much here I think.

To conclude I shall say keep in touch with literature but for your aim find an alternate to it that is really scoring one.
