Default Is English Literature scoring subject.
ASA to all members.
i am doing MA English and i want to opt Eng Lit as optional subject .I was told by some people it is scoring subject.some people say that it is not scoring subject.plz clear my confusion and tell me whether it is scoring subject or not.

well, i dont have any experience or soemthing but a teacher of mine at kinnaird had been a csp .. she told that people told her not to take lit because it was not scoring and take soemthing else. any how it turned out the other way round ... i personally think it depends on a person's capability & luck most of all.

U r right.My English teacher(during FSc) at Civil Lines College also opted English Lit and now he is AC incomtex.In order to get good marks one should have command and interst in that subject.MA Eng covers almost 70% of CSS Eng lit syllabus.I hope u and the other members will help me in Eng lit so i have decided to opt Eng lit.Have u seen the threads post by Last Island(Queen of Literature).I am putting farward a suggesion that all members (having Eng lit as an optional subject)should discuss various writters and their work in DISCUSSION FORUM. eyes:

Aoa.

English Lit. is a scoring subject but the course syllabus provided by FPSC is quite lengthy. it is almost equal to M.A English syllabus and u will have to revise it not in months/weeks but in hours during the exam.
I have prepared myself two BOOKS for CSS English Literature, which cover the complete the syllabus. Anybody interested can contact me.
