Default Aristotle's concept of Tragedy:
As Aristotle has given the definition of tragedy in his book Poetics:

"A tragedy, then, is the imitation of an action that is serious and also, as having magintude, complete in itself: in language embellished with each kind of artistic ornament, each kind brought in separately in the parts of the work; in a dramatic, not in a narrative form; with incidents arousing pity and fear, wherewith to accomplish its catharsis of such emotions."

so how can we create an assingement on aristotle's concept of Tragedy with reference of abovementioned definition

i have created an outline of "Aristotle's concept of Tragedy" and presenting before you all, now please tell me whether it is right or some part is missing or can i add something more in it.

Introduction
in connection to Poetics and atistotle.
Definition of Tragedy
as described in poetics.
Comparison betweeen Epic and Tragedy
Complete action with begining middle and an end
Magnitude
Catharsis
Hamartia/ Tragic flaw
Unified Plot
Embellishment
Conclusion

the aforementioned points i have selected will some one tell me that can i add some kind of examples in it such as Hemlet, King Lear, Doctor Faustus or Oedipus Rex.

Dear I do not know much about the theories of Aristotle. A thing I should add that you had referred his book wrongly which is "The Politics" not poetics.

Aristotle presented his theory in "Poetics" and not in Politics.

Brother you're going on the track of New Kitab Mahal, the books are entirely based on the downloaded contents, for better studies, you need their older versions. Also I've found LAST ISLAND's posts quite helpful and to the point, you either contact her, or read her posts.

i dont think so that there is any need o compare epic with tragerd.if ur asked abty traged focus on it,similarliy wt do u mean by embellishment??
i think tragic flaw is very important to describe in tragedy.u can also add dramatic irony,,,bt then again its nt nesessary to b there in all dramas.
