here is my answer to your queries ... 1. Shaw's first volume of plays is entitled 'Plays, Pleasant and Unpleasant' (1898) 2. I think Swift mentioned 4 journeys but im not sure as i havent read that work of his. 3. 'Leaves of Grass' has been written by Walt Whitman in 1855. 4. The play 'The Doll's House' was written by Henrik Ibsen in 1879. 5. These works of literature have each been claimed as the first novel in English. * Thomas Malory, Le Morte d'Arthur, (written circa 1470, published 1485). * Philip Sidney, The Countess of Pembroke's Arcadia (1581) * John Bunyan, The Pilgrim's Progress (1678). * Aphra Behn, Oroonoko (1688). * Daniel Defoe, Robinson Crusoe (1719). * Daniel Defoe, Moll Flanders (1722). * Samuel Richardson, Pamela (1740). 6. The title of 'The Sound and the Fury' refers to a line from Shakespeare’s 'Macbeth'. Act V, scene v: Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow Creeps in this petty pace from day to day To the last syllable of recorded time, And all our yesterdays have lighted fools The way to dusty death. Ralph Roister Doister was regarded as the first english comedy. 6. The title of the novel "The sound and the fury" is borrowed from William Shakespeare's play Macbeth. 7. The apple cart was written by GB Shaw. 8. Robinson Crusoe is regarded as the first novel in English, (a) complete novel. 9. Riz, kindly mention the name of the mythology, by the way Ediasos is a god of revels, drunkenness, and the vine. 10. 16th century is called the golden age of Portuguese literature.

The correct spelling is COGNOMEN and it means surname ;with reference to Eng. lit. it it is thge last name of a citizen of ancient Rome. eg. in CAESAR in GAIUS JULIUS CAESAR Q14: the answer would be MIRACLE PLAYS.MIRACLE PLAYS(borrowed subjects from The BIble) MYSTERY PLAYS(Borrowed subjects from the New Testament) MORALITY PLAYS(Borrowed themes of the Seven Deadly Sins) Q15:KNIGHT Q16:at the end of 15th cen.
