Marking Trend in English Literature

Dear all who have opted or are willing to opt for English Literature,
can those of you who appeared with English Literature as one of their optionals please share their marks here?
Moreover what are the prospects of achieving good score in English Literature these days? I am willing to opt this, disregarding the negative views I have heard about Literature. I will be appearing in 2015 so I still have enough time to cover it.
Please encourage me!

change the optional please

Though you have plenty of time ... You will not be able to cover it course as it has different dimensions.. Secondly you wnt be, i fear, able to get guidance regarding this subject from seniors. My recommendation will be that go for some language as languages are highly scoring ones. Do consult senior members on forum.

yes getting proper guidance is the tough part. Apparently no one wants anyone to go with English Literature in CSS. I had gone twice with Persian from languages section and this year's paper went more than well for me. But seeing the changing trends I was thinking to go with something else than Persian. Let's see what happens!

I got 121 in CSS-2012 attempt....... Never opt it.please
Its side effect is that Candidates concentrate more on it but rest of subjects get poor attention..... So, dont go for it .

Hi Aatii,

I am going to appear for CSS 2015 and have decided to opt for English Literature. Perhaps you and I could form some sort of a strategy to cover this subject in particular?

It is my humble opinion that the syllabus for English Literature is just as elaborate as for any other optional subject; therefore if one feels that they have a necessary command over English then perhaps with practice and study it can be opted for.

Aatii, let me know if you want to study English Literature jointly.
