There is no single specific book for Eng. Litt. CSS. The reason is that you have to cover certain authors, their major works etc.
As the paper 1 is based on History of a century, you should consult T.Singh's History of English Litt.'s book. Cover the Romantic and Victorian Age from there.
For 2nd paper, you have to cover 10 major writers. You may skip some of them according to past papers' trend. To cover this part, prepare questions for each author's book published by Famous Publishers or NKM.

With due respect, Ma'am, which books are you referring to and for which purpose? I may suggest you the better solution and answer then.

Actually, I asked so because I wanted to know that whether you are asking for CSS or Masters etc.

Regarding your query about books, I would say that whenever you have to cover the questions regarding certain writers' works, read New Kitab Mahal (NKM) or Famous Publishers books.
For example, for CSS English Lit. paper-II, you have to cover 9-10 books of the writers. So, for this purpose, buy the above-mentioned publisher' book and you will get the required material. Suppose, for 'Hamlet' by Shakespeare, you may follow this way.

Secondly, as far as history based questions are, as in the First Paper of CSS English Lit., consult a good history book. Normally people consult 'T,Singh's History of English Literature'. You can also consult Hudson's History of English Literature book - a bulky one - to cover each and every aspect about the writers.

Thirdly, if you want to get material for CSS English Literature in a notes form, you may consult Jahangir Publishers' English Literature book for CSS/PMS.

THese are the few options.
