Default Civil engineering and environmental science

Do Civil Engineers have any edge in terms of the easiness for preparation of Environmental Science?

Surely, if you studied this subject in your engineer course work, it will be definitely a piece of cake for you. you should ask this question to yourself.

Dear Brother thanks for your replies to all of my posts. Actually I wanted to upload a picture of my outline of an essay and the forum requires me to first post at least 10 posts before I could upload a picture. So, I sought it to be an opportunity to post the questions which daunted me during subject selection. By the way, I have already finalized my combination.

Well, it is:
International relations
International law
History of USA
Psychology
Governance and public policy.

I considered other subjects such as Environmental Science, Sociology, Gender Studies, Urdu, Physics and other during the course of subject selection and arrived at this combination.

Would you please do me a favour and see my outline in the Essay section which I have finally posted.

Safeer I will advise you not to opt Environmental Science. What we study in Civil Engineering is only a part of this vast subject. Water supply, sewerage and EIA etc is what civil engineers study. But Environmental Science has quite a vast syllabus. It may waste your time. Go for an easy and less time consuming subject.

Thanks brother.

I've already dropped the idea of opting this subject since I had to read it in isolation from the general knowledge required for the CSS.

I've mentioned my final combination above and the reason I posted this query.

I don't know if you have an expertise on Civil Engineering or not. However, I totally disagree with you. I'm a Civil Engineer myself and I have chosen this subject out of curiosity. I have read the syllabus in its entirety and nowhere have I felt that this subject may waste my time. It is easy and can be easily be covered. Most of the subjects are what we have done in our engineering career and only need skimming.

It depends from person to person but for me I'm loving this subject so far.

Brother I never claimed to be an expert in civil engineering.

I wish you score high in this subject. I advised Safeer no to opt this subject because I felt that it will consume a lot of time. As it is an engineering subject so there are chances that one may score really high in it. Though I still insist it will consume more time in preparation than an average CSS subject. If someone has interest in this subject then one should go for it.

I wish they would have introduced Structural Analysis and Soil Mechanics in CSS instead of Town Planning and Environmental Sciences.
