I had Gender Studies for my 2016 attempt, scored 51. I have been advised by some fellow aspirants and teachers to drop it but I'm sticking to it. Mainly because it's too late to do an entire subject from scratch. My personal opinion would be to opt it if you're able to grasp the concepts and make authentic notes. Also, with whats been happening in Pakistan lately, I feel gender related topics might help in other subjects too. No idea about Zoology. Maybe someone else can shed some light on it.

Best of luck!

I'm a Doctor so I have a good background about Zoology. But it has very lengthy syllabus. Gender studies look a bit easier and not that much lengthy as well. One of my friends also advised me to opt Gender Studies who has qualified CE-2016. He took Zoology but said it was very difficult to revise and its also very lengthy as well. So I'm opting for Gender Studies.

As you have given an attempt of CE-2016, I'd like to have last year's MCQs and notes if you have due to the reason that Gender Studies is a very new subject for me and I need some guidance.

That's exactly why I opted Gender Studies, it's comparatively easier and more opinion-based. Nevertheless, I've been told that its 'opinion-based' nature could actually not be a good thing because the paper checker might not have the same opinions as you resulting in lower marks. That's probably why so many aspirants have dropped the subject after 2016 exam results.

I'm in the process of making Gender Studies notes. I could not prepare 3 subjects last year due to some personal issues. I literally looked up the headings day before the exam and try to work with it. I'm currently covering some Current Affairs topics but will be happy to share articles/sources when I start GS. I do not have the MCQ's because the exam paper is taken by the invigilators once you're done with it.

Best of luck!

I know that MCQs paper is taken back immediately after 30 mins But I mean that you must have some MCQs in mind that came in GS paper. If you can recall some of them, it would be great to provide an idea
