Never study from notes of other persons for CSS or at least for upcoming 1,2 attempts. GS is completely new subject and there were only 2 exams of GS so far. No one has comprehensive notes of GS according to new syllabus. Candidates prepares their own bullet notes or outlines for exam revision only otherwise it is complete waste of time to prepare comprehensive notes if you have less than 1 year to prepare.
GS is a very technical subject and I have attempted GS in CE-17. It is interesting but do not take it lightly if you want to score well. I can give you few tips regarding preparation.
1- Do not prepare it from JWT.
2- Book of Caravan publishers is better than any other local book. Highly recommended local book and much better than JWT
3- Must read human rights commission report on Pakistan
4- Go through all threads of GS section on this forum. As it is new subjects they are not many. Pay special attention to recommendations by MEME (CSP selected in 2016).
5- Learn basic terminology and than cover syllabus topic wise from recommended books. Links of few books are available in this forum. Rest follow MEME's guidance.

What is MEME? And, did you find any other book useful in thus regard except Carvan's one. Kindly tell its name, if any.
May you share your optional subjects of ce-17? This would be quite helpful to me.

MeMe is the person who has posted helpful posts in GS section. Check them. Besides Caravan you need to study from foreign books. Go through threads and you will find them easily.

I had studied that topic from Caravan book. Both pre partition and post partition femisinst movements of Pakistan were included.
