Default Why do people find GS difficult?

When I was in the process of choosing my optional subjects, I came across a lot of posts in this forum that said GS is difficult to understand and there is hardly any material available. Posts like these made me double-minded and confused about opting GS. But now that I have opted for this subject and doing research on the topics I don't get why people used to bash GS. So far, there has not been a single topic on which I haven't found any material online and it is very easy to comprehend as well. Then why such a backlash against this subject?

Heard the same thing. I want to know about your sources from which you are preparing GS. I have opted this subject and was confused to persue due to same reasons which you have told.

Through various internet sources. I visited the market to check out JWT and Seher Syed's books (because they were the most recommended books) but it turns out they are not up to the mark, at least for me.

JWT's book is a piece of trash. Other students bashing at GS are right too. Material is available now, not two back. Few concepts need time and its a scoring subject with little effort.
