About the Book: Unfortunately, there isn't any 1 book that can help you out with CSS. I can suggest to use Amanullah Gondal and JWT book, but you will have to do other readings to make your analysis strong, Fortunately, this is a very interesting subject that you will enjoy and the readings will be fun. There are alot of YT videos that can help as well, some of them just narrate the facts, but that is all what one needs. Since we all have a gender that means that we all have opinions, so we just need some key facts here.

Gondal's book is basically copy paste of recommended books, but recently we have been seeing them giving a lot of opinion based questions, so one has to read quality stuff. This book is like flash cards that one can use at the end, but not good at all in the beginning. JWT's book is very basic and has facts, but it is again copied from the internet.

Remember that this subject in west is seen differently in east

I will be suggesting readings chapter wise here:
Introduction to Gender Studies
Difference between Gender and Women Studies
Multi-disciplinary nature of Gender Studies
Autonomy vs. Integration Debate in Gender Studies
Status of Gender Studies in Pakistan

For this you should use the JWT book for facts, and The State of the Discipline of Women Studies in Pakistan in Social Sciences in Pakistan Rubina Saigol.
You can find a PDF here on CSS forums. If you are not satisfied then I would Suggest using 50 key concepts in gender studies for anything relevant

Historicizing Constructionism
Problematizing the category of “Sex”: Queer Theory
Is “Sex” socially determined, too?
Masculinities and Feminism
Nature versus Culture: A Debate in Gender Development

Internet, JWT, 50 key concepts book

What is Feminism
Liberal Feminism
Radical Feminism
Marxist/Socialist Feminism
Psychoanalytical Feminism
Men’s Feminism
Postmodern Feminism

Rosemary Tong's book (its in the list of recommended and it is available on the internet)

Feminist Movements in the West, First Wave, Second Wave and Third Wave Feminism, United Nation Conferences on Women, Feminist Movements in Pakistan

Internet and YT videos, and Dr Rubina's another reading about movements in Pak

Colonial and Capitalistic Perspectives of Gender
Gender Analysis of Development Theories; Modernization Theory, World System Theory, Dependency Theory, Structural Functionalism.
Gender Approaches to Development: Women in Development (WID), Women and Development (WAD), Gender and Development (GAD); Gender Critique of Structural Adjustment Policies (SAPs).
Globalization and Gender

Slideshare, internet, JWT, YT, Rubina Sigol's initial reading on WS in Pak. Gondal's book

Status of Women’s health in Pakistan
Status of Women in Education
Women and Employment
Women and Law

For facts newspapers, and Human Rights commission reports, for theory YT videos of an Indian Uni

Defining Governance
Suffragist Movement
Gender Issues in Women as Voters
Gender Issues in Women as Candidates
Gender Issues in Women as Representatives
Impact of Political Quota in Pakistan

Dr Farzana Bari's work, newspapers, and YT videos of an Indian Uni

Defining Gender Based Violence
Theories of Violence against Women
Structural and Direct Forms of Violence
Strategies to Eliminate Violence against Women

JWT, Newspaper, UN reports (just google them)

Mukhtaran Mai
Mallala Yousaf Zai
Shermin Ubaid Chinoy

JWT book

Other than Books: Newspapers like dawn have really good info on a lot of gender issues, and this author writes really good articles and they are essential for GS:
https://www.dawn.com/authors/410/rafia-zakaria

YouTube: YouTube is your BFF for CSS, just search all topics and there will be helpful videos. Ted Talks and Daily show are really good sources as well. Trevor does some really good interviews with important women and Desi Lydic and Micheal Wolf have done good reporting on the daily show about women issues (just watch what is relevant) Here are some that I found useful:
This is the Indian Uni that I mentioned (its basically slide reading, but they do have some good info) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxhBl6trdfg
Crash Course Sociology/history/politics has some really good gender videos like this one
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yaei...o&index=6&t=0s
Vox is another source,

Just type the topic in search bar and you will find videos that will help

About solved papers: Look at A levels sociology paper solving ways and sample answers.

-hope this helps

You don't need to buy any books. Let me find some internet resources and paste them here. A levels has this paper solving pattern that is much similar to the post 2016 css. It is not that hard and with right information anyone can do it. I will get back to you.
