@ Hias

I don't think, that time is enough for the preparation of Urdu along with other 10 subjects. Keeping in view the limited time of 2 months, I wouldn't suggest you to go for Urdu literature. Though it is easy, but bit lengthy. In swap of Urdu Literature you can opt for Journalism and Sociology.

Regards and Rverence

Hi

I think if you have a background of Urdu then you can easily cover Urdu .There is nothing as such difficult in Urdu if one has a taste for Urdu literature.Agar Adab say thori boht dilchaspi hy tu urdu cover krna mushkil nahe but ziyada number ki umeed nahe rakhni

But without prior knowledge of Urdu literature it is NOT AT ALL EASY to cover in a short span of time.

Best Regards

Hello Sir

You have already had an experience of Urud twice before therefore, I think given the time constraint,Urdu is a better choice for you.it is not at all difficult to those who have an inclination for Urdu literature .I have had an experience of this subject also and let me tell you that I scored 87 in Urdu without preparing a single word(Not a good score but if one can score 87 without any preparation then with preparation at lest 130 can be easily crossed).

As for as interpretation is concerned, it is the most easiest part in Urdu paper. My teacher once told me that one of the benefits of Urdu --especially interpretation of Urdu poetry--is that it can never be wrong. One can interpret, whatever, the stanza is,because it is a subjective thing totally depends on one's perception and comprehension.kuch b likain tu kuch na kuch number zaroor miltay hain q k sher ko har shaks apnay andaz say samajta hey...Same is the case with prose but here, one must know the source of excerpt. It is important to write briefly, the details of of events before the given excerpts. And also, the author's name is essential to guess. For this we have to read books like Khakam-eBadhan,zindagi wagera....

For poetry, what I have experienced is that a stanza is taken from the nazam of Iqbal or Dewan-e-Ghalib or from Musadass . If you are fond of poetry It is easy to identify the given stanza.like I can easily understand any stanza from Ghalib given its tone...

In nutshell,Urdu is a preferred choice for me because I can easily prepare it within minimum time and can better prepare other difficult subjects by giving them more time... and I think you can do the same.

lastly, urdu ki had tak tu may daway say kehta hun k koi b is may fail nahe ho sakta agarchay number thoray kam atay hain magr tension kam hota hey urdu may ... at least mujay to nahe hy

Best Regards

Default It is all about the game of numbers

Dear Oriental,
Thank u for sharing ur ideas-a practice which is very rare in this forum.Well,Dear,if u dont mind let me tell u something. Can u appreciate the raionale of putting optionals alongwith the compulsory subjects? It is the optionals that provide u with a leverage to improve ur overall aggregate in the written part of the exam.U ve not only to pass those optionals but register an extraordinary total agnst them in order to secure an allocation of ur choice.Never ever think solely in terms of easiness of the subjects.it is a factor in making a choice but the real credit should b given to scoring subjects provided they also match with ur inclination.
U ve to b very calculated, cautious and careful in making any move about choosing ur subjects.I m not agnst urdu but it is not that much scoring these days.So if u find sufficient time and energy to prepare for the exam then why not go for better choices if available.Would it not be flying in the face of ur aggregate by choosing urdu.
with regards
ASAD

Hello Sir

I am quoting you:

U ve to b very calculated, cautious and careful in making any move about choosing ur subjects.I m not agnst urdu but it is not that much scoring these days.So if u find sufficient time and energy to prepare for the exam then why not go for better choices if available.Would it not be flying in the face of ur aggregate by choosing urdu.

Totally agreed to your point ; the problem in my case is time .I had also thought on the same line and tried Geography but, given the short time I swapped it with Urdu.As you know Geo being a technical subject requires time -- I could cover it in two months but at the expense of other subjects --so I preferred Urdu to avoid any eventuality .And I feel more comfortable with Urdu because I have a deep love for Urdu literature since my childhood.I hope it would not betray me If done properly it can give decent score, I mean in the range of 120 to 130,and similar score in other subjects can safely land me on a position where I can easily get my desired group.

BTW --if you don't mind--can you tell me why you are improving and what is the alternate choice you have decided to Urdu. ??

best regards

Lightbulb

I have opted urdu. I am not confused that urdu is high scoring or low scoring. We can get best marks in urdu too if we have interest in urdu and taste of urdu.
