They are right when they say it is not a scoring subject even if you have special literary taste. So look up for other option. Its average marks are 110 to 120

Urdu being an optional is not as scoring as other languages are. i went for urdu in all of the three attempts of mine, and despite having a good language and literature ability, could only score below 120. i covered nearly all the css syllabus, nearly covered all the MA urdu syllabus, had good know how of urdu and urdu world, but the result was not that good. i scored 97 in my first attempt and 114 in the 2nd attempt. now waiting for the result of the 3rd attempt. i found that urdu papers have absolutely no syllabus. one has to cover each and everything that is related to urdu and the urdu world. the poets, novels, digests, fiction, translations, tanqid, risalay, aaj ki urdu dunya, aaj k shaer o adeeb, ,,,,,,,shortly going for urdu is a gambling where one has no chance to win. but i went for it thrice, because of my love for urdu. people who want to opt for it just as "another optional" must not go for it. going for regional languages, geography, psychology would be a better option.

I am feeling regret because I have chosen Urdu as an optional. I don't have sound background in this subject. Please help me in preparing Urdu subject.
