Default Seniors like AFRMS & mariLatif please suggest.!

Respected seniors and CSPs,

I want to replace ZOOLOGY with Geography.(since, i have no prior knowledge of either of them but studied biology at matric level and liked that subject).
my other optionals are Journalism, sociology and Psychology.
Is zoology scoring and trendy to go through & replace Geography....?

Please urgently provide me approachable suggestion regarding my situation .
I will be indebted to you for replies.

Both subjects require in depth study and preparation, for any optional prior acquaintance is always handy. You can chose either of the subject because both have same standing for as you have not studied them at bachelor level. At Matric level the concepts are very basic ,but if you liked Biology than you can go for Zoology. But i recommend Zoology for those having medical background or who had biology /zoology till Fsc or Bsc level.Geography is a good optional subject ,check out its syllabus and previous papers.Rest choice is yours, both can be scoring with hardwork and good preparation.

As already suggested by august fellow, final choice rests with you. But since you have not studied any of Zoology and Geography and have to start from the scratch, in my opinion you should go for Geography, because it may be comparatively easier for you thn Zoology.

i have a similar query, i had done FSc. with pre-medical. my score in optional subjects in C.E 2012 is as follows

arabic 61+64
psychology 81+74
sociology 30
journalism 59

i had viewed past papers and syllabus of zoology and i require little effort for preparation of paper 2. and please guide me shall i replace sociology and journalism with geography or zoology? and which one is better option between geography and zoology.

Thanks a lot for ur valuable reply.
I compared syllabi of both subjects and found geography easy.
But the problem is with changing trends in geography paper. Like give a look to this year's paper. its more generalized than course-restricted. on the other hand, zoology papers are according to syllabus, they're safe and high scoring....
keeping in view the current geography trend do i still stick to it...?
is this subject safe as is told for life sciences....?
looking forward your feedback.

I can only tell you about Zoology as it was my optional.I have done Mphil in Zoology(parasitology) so it was not difficult for me.I cannot tell how would you manage Zoology, but like you said it is syllabus based so not much of an issue.Make up your mind in choosing either of the subject and then stick to it and prepare well. What i say is based on my experience ,it could be different for you.Like i said earlier the choice has to be yours.

If you think you can prepare Zoology then you can replace Journalism and sociology with zoology.Do check the reasons for low score in Sociology before changing it.I had Journalism as one of my optional and found it easy and scoring.
I cannot tell about Geography but those who have opted it didnt find it difficult, both zoology and Geography are bit technical subjects. And both are 200 marks subjects that means papers I and II are on the same day so no time for revision while in case of `100 marks optional you can have only one paper in a day.

Default Suggestion required by AFRMS

Respected AFRMS,,,
I need your valuable suggestion.
I am a Dr, have recently done MBBS, and doing currently doing house job.
I intend to appear in CSS 2013.
I have opted Psychology, Zoology, Punjabi & Int. Law

Now, I am a bit confused about Zoology, as I have JUST selected it, and haven't done ANYTHING practically. I haven't even bought any book. The same goes for rest 3 optionals, but I have started Psychology.

I am a bit afraid of zoology, its part 1 requires alooooooot of hardwork whereas part 2 seems easier for me.

Kindly throw some light on my issue...

I would be highly obliged.

Regards...

It wont be difficult for you to cover zoology,as most of the Doctors opt for it just because they find it easy to handle. You are right about the paper I ,but only chordate part is bit lengthy ,rest invertebrate is short.
I have mentioned some zoology books in Zoology section do check them.Once you start preparation it wont be a issue ,do check past papers and cover all the questions in it.Part II is easy and interesting and marks scoring.Just start preparation you will do well.
