Four booked for girl's abduction rape-Pakistan- Dawn

LAYYAH: A 15-year-old girl who was abducted by four men on Tuesday and was later raped by two of them after being subjected to brutal torture, had to go through a lot of hassle before Chowk Azam police registered a case against the suspects on Wednesday following a dispute over jurisdiction with Choubara police.

According to the girl’s father, a resident of Chak 479-TDA, he shifted his family to Chowk Azam city for better education of his children.

His elder daughter ‘M’, a student of Government Girls High School Chowk Azam was returning home after attending a local madrassah around 10am on Tuesday, when four suspects bundled her into a car.

Police delays case registration because of jurisdiction row
He said the suspects took her to the forest near Chak 450-TDA where she was subjected to brutal torture and was raped by two of her abductors.

The suspects later left ‘M’ on a road and fled away. She was spotted by police and was dropped home around 8pm where she told her parents about her ordeal.

The girl’s father took her to Chowk Azam police station but the staff on-duty refused to register a case, saying the incident happened in Choubara police.

Allah Ditta then took ‘M’ to Choubara police station where the staff told them that they could not register the case as the complainant was a resident of Chowk Azam that was out of their jurisdiction.

Later, Chowk Azam police on the direction of Choubara circle DSP registered a case (No 323/15) on Wednesday against the four suspects under section 365-B and 376-(II) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), on the complaint of ‘M’.

Talking to Dawn, ‘M’ related her ordeal and said crying that she had no other option but to commit suicide. She said her abductors and rapists were influential people and apprehended they would escape punishment for their crime.
