Criminology in the Islamic perspective

Asslam-o-Alaikum LNaqvi,

It is one of the analytical questions which you have asked.

As "Criminology" is a new subject, included in the revised syllabus. I don't think that the FPSC will ask "What is Criminology in the Islamic perspective", the major reason behind my observation is that the 'said question' pertains to Islamic Law subject. Moreover, there's not any such type of thing is mentioned in the syllabus. I recommend you to completely grasp upon mentioned topics of the syllabus. Hopefully, you'll up to the mark. :vic

Regards,

Afaque Ahmed.

Islamic perspective of crime is almost same like classical criminology
1)it focuses cesare becceria axiom that "let the punishment fit the crime"
2)Islam has rational approach towards crime(costs and benefits of crime) ,by increasing costs of crime(punishment) the crime rate could be reduced.
3)alongside with punishment, Islam focused on rehabilitation and reformation

unfortunately contemporary religious clerics never bothered to modify laws....Islam is not a static religion. ...its dynamism has brought it such greatness....the laws regarding amputation of hands, stoning of adulterers, decapitation as capital punishment needs explanation from learned men

although its improbable that they will ask question related to Islamic perspective but its better to get help from Wikipedia and Pakistan society of criminology
