I opted for it twice and both times it gave good score although it is not as rewarding as it used to be, in say 2017 or 2018.
The good thing about it is that you can get pretty good marks even with average preparation if your basic concepts are clear and you have the right preparation material.

I have almost covered the syllabus of criminology. Just section 1 is left. And now after the result or 2021 came out, it is again targeted. I have also opted punjabi this time. punjabi is also targeted in 2021. So now I am thinking about switching criminology with gender studies. Although I covered some of the syllabus of gender studies last year, before switching it with criminology but still much is left. what do you guys suggest, should I change the subject at this time or should I stick to the previous one? please help. I am worried!

You can take still there are three months left. But, i suggest you to take subject according to your interest not prevailing trends in the exams. We cannot exactly say which subject is scoring and which is not or which will be targeted. I took gender studies but then I replaced it with env sciences because I found it more easier and interesting than g. studies. Well, take a firm decision and stick with it. Hope you understand.
