I wouldn't suggest that you use Kapoor because it doesn't cover the need of the examiners in the recent years exams. If you look at the 2018 and 2019 I law paper the questions have taken a different turn from the traditional questions about the sources of law and definition of i law. The recent questions are more about preemptive strikes and in 2019 there was a out of the syllabus question on ICC. John Bolton apparently gave a statement against ICC and the examiners decided to add that. Other than that, the best way to make your analysis strong and your paper better than that of other candidates is to use case law. Most of the cases in Kapoor are really old and much of the recent developments in that area have changed the law
Therefore, you need a book that deals with these modern challenges and case law. I would suggest using Shaw. It is long, but it equips you with the questions that knowledge to tackle the new type of questions.
You can easily find the pdf of this book online
