Exclamation IL Exam in 2018 & Recommendation of this subject for 2019 ?

Seniors & All those who attempted IL in 2018 !
I have heard that IL Exam in 2018 was difficult and in no way will be a high scoring subject in future. Kindly share your experiences & scores and would you recommend it as I have no prior knowledge or background in Law? I am an engineering graduate and looking for options. Kindly guide me whether to opt it for 2019 exam or not?

The paper of International law of 2018 was not so difficult. It's an average paper but yes it's a peculiar one.
International law is a good subject. If you quote treaties, examples and case references in the exam then it definitely gives you a good score. Aspirants who opt IR should consider this subject as optional. In the end, choice is yours.

First, I'm taking about international law not IR. Second, yes no need to study the cases thoroughly except the few like Corfu Channel case, recently asked UN officials reparation case and some others.
