Agarwal or Tandon? Seniors please suggest

Hello guys
I need advice on which book from these two i.e Agarwal and Tandon, i should make my text book?

Facts:
2nd attempt (first in 2012)
Used Agarwal in the 1st attempt
Now, a teacher(done LLM) in NOA, suggested us to go for TANDON. His score was 73

My View:
Tandon: After going through a few chapters of Tandon, i felt, that there is much detail, and toooo many references, with minimal input from the author himself. Even in his conclusions, he is using more references and his own view is given in a sentence or two. (my opinion, could be faulty)
Tandon has a few extra chapters. Sometimes the details are..useless? as i found him repeating the same point over and over again

Agarwal:
To be honest, apart from a few Questions/Chapters/Dimensions....I found Agarwal more "friendly" or convenient than Tandon. He has not overburdened with innumerable references on every page, and feels a bit more "student oriented".

To conclude, I just want to ASK....Which book would be the best? and if my approach to the subject is faulty, please suggest remedial steps to be taken.
:roll

Respected Friend!
I've studied IL while doing my MA and opted for it as an optional subject for CSS and KPPMS as well, my personal view goes in favour of HO Agarwal. Always keep in mind the background of an adviser that what level of intellectual caliber he possesses. you've mentioned a person with LLM degree so Tandon might be better for him. You should analyse your own position in terms of time, academic background etc. Anyhow, good luck!

Dear Member!
For all subjects, remember one thing that you should not change your consulted books for every now and then just concentrate on the syllabus and trend of a subject and go after that.
Good Luck!

In 2013, I scored 74 in International Law and I'm a Law Graduate as well as a practicing lawyer. I'll suggest you to go for Agarwall's book only. Its handy and to the point. I consider it the best book to cope with CSS I.L paper. One thing more, don't be panic prepare the relevant topics only. For that very purpose download the study plan who's link is given below and do follow it for to the point study of this subject.

Fassi Bro I too, am hoping to be a law graduate in, another 1.5year i guess. And I have your comprehensive Study plan, and I also tried contacting you(a week or two ago), but your phone was off, understandably many like me must be eager to personally talk to you and ask for advice
Well thanks again. You're comment on Agarwal is very reassuring :)
