to be a barrister, here is the procedure
1)LLB from UK or (4 us LLB from Pak n LLM UK with more than 60% marks but thats upon the discretion of Bar Standard Board whether allows you COAS or not) but with LLB UK surly u ll get COAS.(certificate of acadamic standing) 2) COAS from BSB 3) GDL 4)7.5 Ielts (each module) 5) Entry test before BVTC(Bar vocational training course) now known as BPTC 6) BVTC n membership of Inn like lincolns inn 7) pupilage 7) cost. LLM about 10,000 pounds. GDL about 9,000 BVTC about 15,000 pounds(these are all in BBP law school waterloo. london) about your living expenses i cant say any thing. 8) most imp is u need to clear from 1 to 6 step by step if u fail some where u cant proceed. Authority i did my LLM from UK n started GDL from BBP waterloo but after first semster of GDL came back due to my personal reasons. dear if any one of you want to be a barrister try to do your LLB from UK. otherwise its bit difficult to cross all stages. |
