Hello everyone! I hope this post find you all well. I’m preparing for CSS 2021 and I’m new to this form so kindly ignore any errors or mistakes. I have joined this forum because I desperately need help with mercantile law. I have no background of this subject however I find it very interesting.
I’m currently studying from the business law book by Khalid Mehmood Cheema. So far it has been easy to understand and learn. But what I’m confused about the exam because learning and being good attempting questions are different cases. I have the following questions:
1. How to attempt answers (as in what is the answer structure and attempting techniques to score good marks)
2. Is there any way to get solved past papers of this subject?
3. Does the exam preparation require law case learning and reading? If yes, can anyone recommend important cases or information about where to start
4. Dos and Donts of attempting papers
Aforementioned are my questions and I’ll be obliged if someone could help me with them. Any information about the subject is welcomed and appreciated.

1. Your answer depends upon the type of question asked in the exam; if its a case study than you should quote the relevant section of the law to prove your stance and if its a simple question than you can just answer it according to the knowledge obtained over the preparation of the subject.
2.Whereas, fetching high marks are concerned you should always quote some section of relevant law according to the question asked.
3. For case laws please refer to the CSS syllabus of Mercantile law; all the relevant case laws are quoted at the end of syllabus of mercantile law after suggested readings portion.
3. For detailed and professional study CA Business law book is recommended for contract Act, Partnership act, sales of good act and company law. For rest of the course you can search the internet.
4. Last but not the least stay relevant in your answers. Filling of extra sheets will not work in this subject.

if anyhow you have further plans to opt for Mercantile law, i would strongly recommend to take Nearpeer lecture of Sir Mubashar iqbal. Believe me you don't even need to open the book, MCQ's will also covered with those recorded lectures. and guess what, whole course is around 4 to 5 hours lectures.
