How to attempt?
 

Aoa,
I have opted for Muslim Law for my CSS 2012. This is my maiden attempt and I dont have much knowledge in answering questions related to law. Can some senior help me in following:
- Do I need to quote PLD n stuff for every legal point I make? e.g Afadat vs State ;PLD 1982 FSc 52.
- Every Islamic Jurisprudence need to be referred to the jurist correctly or sometimes I may be quoted arbitrarily?
- Most of the references in DF Mullah are Indian/Pakistani. Isn't it better to first quote some well known Muslim jurist in explaining the Sunni/Shia case and later on write on pakistani courts interpretation of the same issue.

Brother you dont have to quote any case law.

Whatever you write, give your references from the basic sources (i.e Quran and Sunnah). After that you can quote different Islamic scholars like Abu Hanifa,Abu yusuf,Imam Muhamad,Imam Malik,Shafi,Hanbal,ibne Kathir and the likes. In some definintions you can quote Df Mulla (like the definition of a guardian or a ward or the definition of Dower etc).

Read the question thoroughly. Because students often get tricked by the technical law jargon resulting in loss of 20 marks.

Attempt questions in which there is room for your own comments and critical analysis.

I adopted the same strategy and got 66 marks Alhamdulilah.

Mullah ki book best h.PLD walon ki. case law pe ager ap bat ker rhy hain ager us ka reference likh dain gay to better h.lakin ager ap ko case law k name sahih yad nhi h to met likhain ,bs likh dian k aik case me ye kaha gya.galat likhny se behter h bnda na likhy.wasy bhi case laws likhna law of torts me zarori hta h.yahan nhi.Aor book ka ap ne pocha.Mehmood ki book le lain reference book h.Key book le lain .Key bokk bhi boht help kerti h.

I would suggest two books.

1.Islamic Jurisprudence by mansoor Book House
2.Islamic Personal law Or muhamadan law (forgetting the name) By mansoor book house.

These two books are very precise,comprehensive and self sufficient in itself.
Actually these both books are wriiten for LLB students.

brother mashnawe or any other: what if we don't quote quran/hadith and even any imam but just a correct answer? i mean if answer is correct 100 % but is in own writting without quoting anything (imam, quran, hadith, or PLD) then will it cost marks?

there is no need to quote , but yes it is good to quote it shows knowledge .
i gave papers without any Quote any definition by any author any Ayat any Hadith and without case law still i got 69 and friend of mine gave paper without any bookish material that is necessary in law , he got 74 .
So dear give valid points with good knowledge this is enough for good marks , but again giving references is good but not necessary :)

sorry to bother u,i just want to know while creating notes for myself,how can i prepare notes which ll fetch high marks
