Pattern for Paper-A
Paper A is of objective nature consisting of 5 parts. According to past paper trend paper is set on following pattern.
2 questions from part 1.
2 questions from part 2.
1 question each from remaining parts.
So I'm preparing first 2 parts and making my own notes with highlighting key points. Last part is also easy and interesting.

Check this for logic part it will help for aspirants without philosophy background.

Actually the website mentioned here is very helpful. I used it and the Introduction to logic by copi for preparing Logic-Part 1.
Kindly tell me If anyone is preparing the Western Philosophy and which book is to be consulted?

Amar Jajja Sunday, November 09, 2014 05:54 PM

three books can be consulted for western philosophy:
1. Philosophy made simple by Popkin
2. The Story of philosophy by Will Durant
3. History of Western Philosophy by Bertrand Russel

I prefer Popkin's book as it is more syllabus oriented and written as a textbook.
Moreover following website offers detailed articles on topics of western philosophy.

Brother please check the syllabus of Philosophy-I you will easily understand. Basically I'm from engineering background and never studied philosophy before, philosophy is easy if you study smart so I'm studying selectively just like during engineering.

I don't think any one will provide you notes according to css syllabus. Please follow the Copi book and prepare your own notes. I'm also doing the same.

Yes there are few teachers teaching philosophy in Lahore and most of them have compiled their own notes according to css syllabus.

Lovereflector Are you dividing syllabus as follows
Part 1, Deductive Logic
Part 2, Inductive Logic
and Remaining random topics ie Science and superstitions etc ?

Peerhamza Wednesday, November 12, 2014 12:12 AM

I did the logic in two parts.
The Aristotelian Logic : The deductive logic portion
The Modern Logic : The inductive logic, Symbolic logic.
Fallacies, Use of language etc.
The aforementioned topics I have covered and I prepared my own notes-which is quite tedious.
