Post your 2016 Anthropology Marks!

Have seen one candidate get a whopping 90. Has any other brave soul scored well in this paper?

I got 90. Everyone is asking about my strategy so i want to share my humble knowledge on anthropology.

Please do not consider my words as holy grail, i am sure there are others who have better grip on subject.

Here are my guidelines for those who want to opt anthropology:

• Do thorough reading of syllabus, i considered between anthro, socio and journalism. My brother advised me to opt this subject, so it worked in my benefit.
• I prepared through internet and youtube as there was no discussion of this subject on forum. There is also no book available in market that concludes all topics from css syllabus. I dont know about this year.
• i downloaded an ebook of introduction to anthropology, then opened syllabus and read a particular topic accordingly. (I deleted it later as it was my first and last attempt due to age limit). I will try to find it.
• There is no fix timeline to prepare this subject, atleast i followed none. It depends on your reading and understanding.
• i was not able to find any shortcut, but i did a lot of reading. Write in argumentative manner and prove your point with examples and facts.

Hope this helps with general view of how i attempted anthropology. Please let me know if someone also opted this subject in ce-2016.

I am going to opt anthropology in 2017 attempt. I have no background of this subject please guide me. It will be your kindness.

I've had difficulty finding sources to cover all the topics in the syllabus. Therefore not opting. I think this subject may be a good idea after 2-3 more years, once the past papers make things more clear.

I appeared in ce 2015 with sociology and secured 59 marks.I have observed that in current scenerio examiner is laying more stress on theoretical perspective in sociology and have nt seen any aspirant scoring 75 and above in sociology in last couple of years but in case of anthropology i have seen the dmc of only two aspirants including u here on this forum and both have secured 85+ marks.The syllabus of anthropology overlaps with sociology upto 80 percent.Therefore i am still confused between these two subjects.what do u say about it

Yes i heard the same thing, 2 other aspirants also scored 80+. You should opt it if you can write in elaborate manner and analytical style. I also think that paper was neither tough nor easy. It was average. Rest is luck i guess as I scored avg in my other subjects.

By having look at the syllabus of Anthropology i think paper was very simple and very basic questions were asked by examiner.i am unable to decide between these two subjects please search again the book you consulted and share with us as early as possible
