Default is arabic a scoring subjuect?

Hello!

I am a hafiz-e-Quran and also having some courses of fahm-ul-quran, little grip on simple sentence making in Arabic. I have contacts in minaj-ul-quran foundation i.e I can take guide from there.

Kindly tell me can I adopt this subject and what is the maximum score one can avail in this subject, any past example...

according to statement of seniors it is scoring subject. Masha Allah you are Hafiz-e-Quarn and have grip over this subject you can make a difference. 6th position holder of CSS 2006 exam scored 179 in Arabic. Pls check the following links as well.

well i would like to tell u that the subject of arabic here has nothing to do with ur hifz. its all about the Arabic literature including arabic poetry, drama, stories and all the other areas of literature that v have in Urdu or eng or any other literary subject. n i dnt think that literature can b scoring. but its my humble views u can search it out according to ur own capacities......

in my humble view those who can who are well acquainted with Arabic language and Quran-e-Majeed then Arabic Literature will not be a problem for them. some people are weak in Urdu i don't think they ve aptitude for that subject to opt. as a Hafiz-e-Quran n having courses over Arabic language make background for Arabic subject. following two points are mentioned in syllabus which clearly shows connection of Arabic subject with Quran:

# The Quran, its language, contents and style: its influence on the subsequent literature.
# Quranic semantics and etymology with special reference to lhn Manzoor's Lisan al' Arab and Raghib al-Asfahani's Mufradat fi Gharib al-Quran.

if someone has background and aptitude for certain subject then he must go for that. cz personal likings and dislikings play a pivotal role in achieving good score. CSS toper 2008 made good score Urdu. Arabic subject has also history for good score. if we master any subject then there are chances even to score in low scoring subject.

one more thing I wana add; I pass my B.A arabic of 200 marks and got 92+78 marks, da most difficult part was to understand poetry and I prepare it only for 23 days, there was alos a short note to write. I know B.A course is not comparable with CSS but I have full year to do it, anyway bfor taking any decision, first I wana see da lenght of course.
