Assalam o Aliakum. i am aspiring for css 2014 with arabic. i find it interesting consulting hafiz arshad sb's notes, prof inam ul haq's notes and two other books.but in these all i could not find a few question i.e.
1-Role of Hadith in development of Arabic literature,
2-comparision between poetry of Holy prophet's and holy companion's era,
these questions are however asked in previous years but i could not find their answers, pl tell me any source from where i can find these answers.

1-Role of Hadith in development of Arabic literature,
Hadith is the saying of Holy Prophet and it has profound impact on Arabic literature and we can analyse it in following two aspects:

The teachings of Islam that propounded by Holy Prophet (PBUH) changed the motives of Poetry, in the days of ignorance the motives included Lampoon (Hija), Self Adulation (Fakhar), Tashbib (Amatory prelude) or Praise of a king etc (Madah).....Hazorr SAWs ahadith and sayings changed the motives and now poetry was done for the defense of Islam as is the poetry of Hazrat Hassan bin Sabit (R.A), or it was done for the praise of Holy Prophet as Qaseeda burda of Hazrat Kaab bin Zuhair (R.A) or Hazrat Hassan's "Wa ahsan Mink lam tarraqatu Aini"......

As Hazoor SAW himself said that "I am the most eloquent man of the Arab, as i belong to the most Fasih tribe of Arab i-e Quraysh and i am grown up in Banu Saad".....so His speech also changed the shape of Arabic language as he used many words that were never heard by Badiya Arab before....

My friend the comparison can be drawn by inferences, you won't find everything in books, nor must you expect ready made things.....

At the time of Holy prophet, the circumstances were such that did not allow the mushroom growth of literature, you can quote the poetry of Hassan bin Sabit and Zuhair (R.A) to manifest the literature of prophet's era and in dealing with prose, you can quote the khutbat of Hazoor SAW and Sehban Wail......In the days of Khilafat e Rashida, the conquests were made and expansion was under process so it has the impact of motivating poetry.....Prose in both these areas was not growing so better leaving it aside.
Hope you got the answer.....
