In CSS 2015 Whole Paper will have to be solved in Arabic

The rules for CSS 2015 say :

"The Question Papers in Urdu or other Pakistani regional languages (Punjabi, Sindhi, Pushto and Balochi), Persian and Arabic should be answered in the respective languages unless otherwise directed in the question paper."

Whereas the 2014 Rules said :
"The Question Papers in Urdu or other Pakistani regional languages (Punjabi,Sindhi,Pushto, and Balochi) Persian and Arabic should be answered in the respective languages OR IN URDU/ENGLISH unless otherwise directed in the question paper."

So it appears to be confirmed that for Persian and Arabic , the whole paper will have to be attempted in Persian and Arabic respectively in CSS 2015, as the CSS 2015 Rules have done away with the option to attempt them in English or Urdu.

Yes.

H.A.S.H.M.I Tuesday, August 12, 2014 12:07 AM

Yes the rules for CE-2015 says this, but there must be clarity about this issue by fpsc, as there is no other option to leave Arabic.

Topper Tuesday, August 12, 2014 04:10 PM

The rules are written in clear and unambiguous terms. There is no need for FPSC to explain them.

Peerhamza Wednesday, August 13, 2014 07:49 PM

This will really hurt people. FPSC is really turning the screws !

Arabic Bye Bye

Does there remain any hope for Arabic?

Agreeable

Really agreeable. Can one take risk even for 2 questions in paper and 2 in paper two?which may be asked to be attempted in Arabic other than the previous pattern.FPSC has created space by citing"unless otherwise asked in question paper". There is probability for Hafiz sahib's views too but probability doesn't mean certainty. Suppose if other probability happens (respective language) then what one will do in examination. The simple reason why Hafiz sahib is urging aspirants is that he has no new notes at least for this session but he does need to run his home. Still if one takes risk, and is asked to attempt most part in English, indeed he will be nothing else except the lucky one.

Oh Allah it means option to opt Arabic or Persian is risky. :( now which subjects should replace with this 200 marks?

Muhammad Jawad Fazili Saturday, October 11, 2014 07:12 AM

Arabic is eazy

I think it is impossible to ask whole paper in Arabic because Muallaqaat are still in the course so it must be translated in Urdu or English,it cannot be translated into Arabic. So hpe still remains.....

Izhar Kasi Wednesday, October 15, 2014 11:45 AM

Hopes are alive :bow
there is small probability in it, but the pattern will remain as same as it was before, you guys will see I.A

Can anyone tell with certainty if the whole paper of Arabic is to be attempted in Arabic?or like the CE-2014 pattern in which subjective part required writing in English?

same here..
just waiting for appropriate guidance....
though I’ve a strong background of Arabic as I’ve studied it both at intermediate and graduation level furthermore, I secured subject prizes at both levels in this subject….
but still I am double minded regarding opting it or not after bearing in mind an abrupt change in paper pattern and medium of attempting….
Don’t know why I am not feeling self efficacious and confident to opt it…. Need some motivation  plus guidance concerning books in English….

I have also been in the same boat since the announcement of the new policy about Arabic. i had prepared it from the scratch. But, I just gave some time to myself and then thought better not to go with Arabic. I just replaced it with Islamic History and Culture, filled the form and submitted it two days ago. I did it just to set myself free from the confusion whether to opt Arabic and take risk or not.
If someone wants to take Arabic and prepare it in English, I think, Dr Inam-ul-Haq's 2 books published by jahangir Publishers. It will help a lot in preparation.
